In early 2020, as the COVID-19 pandemic swept the globe, people were confined to their homes. To help alleviate anxiety and encourage self-improvement during this challenging time, Speak Change launched a free nine-day Impromptu Speaking Boot Camp, demonstrating its commitment to social responsibility.
1. Quality Assurance and Adaptability:
We quickly identified impromptu speaking as a high-demand topic and enlisted 9 qualified trainers, who are our founders and certified trainers. Each trainer underwent pre-class rehearsals to ensure the quality of course.
Initially, the course was delivered via audio-only online classes. However, based on participants’ feedback during the first few sessions, the format was switched to live video streaming to align with the growing popularity of this medium.
2. Overwhelming Response and Community Management:
The course’s popularity far exceeded expectations. The operations team worked tirelessly to accommodate the influx of registrations, and fostered interaction and provided support for online groups. This ensured a vibrant learning environment while maintaining professionalism and learner-centric operations.
1. High Participant Satisfaction with Course Content:
Participants continued to engage with and revisit the course materials long after the course concluded, reflecting high satisfaction and the lasting impact of the training.
2. Reaching Over 10,000 People in 3 Days:
Speak Change's first-ever online public non-profit training camp reached over 10,000 people within three days, with nearly 5,000 actively participating in the boot camp, thanks to the team’s dedicated efforts.
This case study showcases Speak Change's ability to swiftly adapt and deliver high-quality, impactful training programs, even under challenging circumstances. Their commitment to social responsibility and innovative approach not only provided valuable skills to participants but also reinforced the company's reputation as a leader in professional development.
